Biography
Dr. John Carlsson serves as Chief Data Scientist at BeyondTrucks overseeing advanced analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning implications in the product suite. Dr. Carlsson is the Kellner Family Associate Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Southern California. He is the recipient of the DARPA Young Faculty Award, the Air Force Office of Scientific Research Young Investigator Prize, and was featured as one of the "Brilliant 10 of 2016" by Popular Science Magazine, where he was nicknamed "The Man Who Re-routes the World Using Geometry". He holds an AB in mathematics and music from Harvard University and a PhD in computational mathematics from Stanford University.
